I'm trying to compile a list to track their movements, all help would be appreciated.
I'll start making a list. - some of the team websites have already either blocked or deleted information and lists. Many of the names from the 2008 season are no longer on the website lists. Help me fill in the blanks. If anyone knows of some info or sees some new stuff please post it so these lists can be updated. If I've missed some names you would like added to the list please let me know, it could be a former player. When I get the lists complete for all teams I'll start editing in the places they've move to. ___________________________________________________________________________ *************************************************************************** <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<WHERE ARE THEY NOW Arizona Rattlers Asi Faoa FB/LB to Fairbanks Grizzlies (IFL) Kyle Smith WR signs with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (CFL) Kani Kauahi - Offensive Line Coach signs with the Rio Grande Dorados as OL/DL coach (af2) Keyuo Craver DB signs with Winnipeg Blue Bombers (CFL) Aric Williams DB signs with Winnipeg Blue Bombers (CFL) Chris McKenzie DB signs with Saskatchewan Rough Riders (CFL) Chicago Rush Russ Michna QB to Chicago Slaughter (CIFL) Reggie Gray - to Chicago Slaughter (CIFL) Mike Polisky Pres/GM to Chicago Wolves as President (AHL - Hockey) Mike Gordon VP of sales to the Chicago Wolves as VP of Corporate Partnerships (AHL) Rob Mager WR/DB to Rochester Raiders (IFL) Brian Schwartze asst HC, DC, & VP player personnel to Iowa State Dir of FootBall Operations Clinton Solomon-WR to the Wichita Wild (IFL) DeJuan Alfonzo LB signs with the Chicago Slaughter (CIFL) Ryan Simmons Acct Exec to the Quad City Steamwheelers as VP of Business Development (af2) Denison Robinson DB signs with the Chicago Slaughter (CIFL) Khreem Smith DE signs with the Chicago Slaughter (CIFL) Johnathan Ordway DB signs with Montreal Alouettes (CFL) Donovan Morgan WR signs with Chicago Slaughter (CIFL) Woody Dantzler (2006) WR signs with Harrisburgh Stampede (AIFA) Bobby Sippio WR signs with Chicago Slaughter (CIFL) Mike Hohensee Head Coach signs as Head Coach for the Peoria Pirates (af2) Cleveland Gladiators Robert Redd W/R to Bloomington Extreme (IFL) Alphonso Hodge CB signs with the Toronto Argonauts (CFL) Randy Hymes WR signs with DC Armor (AIFA) Elex Reed DL - signs with Odessa Roughnecks (IFL) Kimani Jones signs with Omaha Beef (IFL) Ryan Bowers DB signs with Chicago Slaughter (CIFL) Colorado Crush Brandon Kirsch QB Drafted by new outdoor league (UNGL) Willie Quinnie WR signs with the Hamilton/Ontario Tiger-Cats (CFL) Ben Nelson WR signs with Sioux Falls Strom (IFL) Aaron McConnell DL signs with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (CFL) Columbus Destroyers Justin Zwick QB working at WBNS 10TV Dwayne Baldwin DB signs with Rock River Raptors (CIFL) Michael Landry DE signs with Billings Outlaws (IFL) Pat Sperduto - Head Coach - signs as Scout with Kansas City Chiefs (NFL) Dallas Desperados Clint Dolezel QB to Florida Firecats as Offensive Coordinator (af2) Brett Smith WR (practice squad) signs with Rio Grande Valley Dorados (af2) Georgia Force Doug Plank Head Coach to N.Y. I talked to Ces Manning a couple weeks ago and he also said that the owner of the Rochester Raiders gave him and Mager a part time job with his company besides playing on the team. That's a pretty good deal especially they both are single and not married too.

For the Columbus Destroyers, I believe Justin Zwick is still doing work at WBNS 10TV and possibly also at Easy Living. Our GM is not Chris Spielman. It has always been Jim Renacci.

Thanks, I don't remember where I got that from. It must have been MISTAKES-R-US -lol
Here's an article confirming your correction, nice catch. ........................................ With the future of the Arena Football League yet to be determined, key members of the Rush organization are going about the business of getting on with their professional lives. After the league voted Dec. 14 to suspend operations for 2009, a three-member subcommittee headed by Columbus Destroyers President Jim Renacci was charged with submitting a new plan for the league by March 1. The intention is to return to play for the 2010 season. But if no agreement on a new business plan can be reached, the league is expected to fold. In the meantime, Rush quarterback Russ Michna, from Conant High School and Western Illinois, has signed to play for the Chicago Slaughter indoor team under coach Steve McMichael, a former Bear. "This is a chance to keep on playing football," said Michna, who also has a full-time accounting job with a private company. "I just don't see a reason not to at this point." Eight-year head coach Mike Hohensee is attending a coaches convention in Nashville this week and will spend time at the weeklong Senior Bowl workouts looking for coaching opportunities. "It's almost like waiting for water to boil, waiting for the phone to ring," said Hohensee, a 20-year coaching veteran in the AFL. "It's concerning. It's not a dead end, but doors aren't exactly flying open. "My feeling is, give me about a week and I'll coach whatever system you've got. It's going to take someone who knows what we've been doing for 20 years and the number of hats you wear. I do want to continue coaching, and I will make a difference for someone." President and general manager Mike Polisky has been named president of the Chicago Wolves. "It's very bittersweet," Polisky said. "I'm very fortunate to be going with another great organization. This obviously is a volatile time for someone with a family and needing to earn money." Brian Schwartze, assistant head coach/defensive coordinator and vice president of player personnel, was named director of football operations for Iowa State University. |

Wild Add Explosive Receivers to Roster
January 29, 2009 - Indoor Football League (IFL) Wichita Wild The Wichita Wild of the Indoor Football League (IFL) has added two experienced wide receivers for the 2009 season. The Wild signed Clinton Solomon who spent the 2008 season with the Chicago Rush of the Arena Football League (AFL) and starred at the University of Iowa. The team also re-signed Carlos Cavanaugh who led the Wild in touchdowns in 2008. Solomon and Cavanaugh are brothers. Solomon spent the entire 2008 season on the Chicago Rush's practice squad. He was expected to be a starter in 2009, before the AFL canceled the upcoming season. Solomon spent the spring and summer of 2007 with the Tennessee Titans before being released as training camp began. Solomon then signed with the Chicago Bears and was let go prior to the season begining. The Ft. Worth, TX native signed as an undrafted free agent with the St. Louis Rams in 2006 and was released in the final cut down before the season. Solomon played at the University of Iowa during the 2002, 2004, and 2005 seasons. He finished his career ranked 4th in Iowa history in touchdown receptions and 7th in career receiving yards. Following his junior season in 2004, Solomon was named to the All-Big 10 Second Team after catching 58 passes for 905 yards and 6 TD's. Solomon left the Hawkeyes for the 2003 season and played at Iowa Central Community College in Ft. Dodge, IA Cavanaugh is entering his second season of professional football. In 2008 he caught 24 passes for 336 yards. Cavanaugh caught 11 touchdown passes which led the team and was 10th in the UIF last season. Cavanaugh also averaged 24.9 yards per kick return. Cavanaugh spent training camp in 2007 with the Omaha Beef of the IFL. He suffered a hamstring injury two days before the season started and missed the entire campaign. Cavanaugh's final season of playing college football was in 2004 at West Texas A & M. Before joining the Buffaloes, Cavanaugh played at Kilgore Junior College (TX). The Ft. Worth, TX native played quarterback for the Rangers during the 2002 and 2003 seasons. Fans are encouraged to call the Wild office at 316-440-5044 to reserve their seats in the brand new Hartman Arena for the 2009 season. Wild season tickets start at $98 for the entire season. |
